J.R. Property Turnover (“we”, “us”) provides Airbnb turnovers, snow removal, exterior upkeep and interior care in the Kingston and South Frontenac area of Ontario. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

When you ask for a quote: your name, email address, town or city, the service you want, and anything you choose to write. Our quote form does not store anything on our website. It opens an email in your own email app, so your details reach us only when you press send.
When you contact us by phone or email: your name, phone number, email address and what you tell us.
When we work for you: your property address, access instructions (such as lockbox or key details), booking details for guests or tenants where needed to do the job, service notes, and before-and-after photos of the property.
Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit in server logs for security and reliability.

3. Why we use it

To reply to you, prepare quotes and book and carry out services.
To send you photo reports, invoices and service updates.
To keep our website secure and working.
To meet legal, tax and insurance requirements.

We collect and use your information with your consent, which you give when you contact us or hire us. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to run the business: our email and phone providers, our website host, and anyone who helps us carry out your job, who is expected to keep it confidential. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Photos taken during a visit are shared with you and are not published without your permission.

5. Where it is stored

Our website is hosted by Netlify, and we use Google’s Gmail for email. These providers may store or process information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts or authorities under local laws.

6. Keeping it safe and how long we keep it

We use reasonable safeguards, including password-protected accounts and limited access, to protect personal information. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. When a job ends, we return keys and remove stored access codes.

7. Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (subject to legal and contractual limits) by contacting us at the details above. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Emails and marketing

We reply to your enquiries and send service-related messages. We do not send promotional emails or texts unless you have agreed to receive them, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and you can unsubscribe at any time.

9. Children

Our website and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Cookie Policy

This website does not use cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking tools, social media widgets, or embedded third-party content such as maps or videos, and we load no fonts or scripts from outside services. Because of this, we do not show a cookie banner.

If we add any of these in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before using any non-essential cookies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
